There are over 2 million people with a learning disability and/or autism in the UK, who are frequently overlooked when it comes to accessibility and inclusion.

Please take a moment to read the letters written by My Vote My Voice spokespeople Mark, Hannah, and Ismail. These letters are meant to inspire and empower the political parties to make this election accessible at every stage.

We have sent these to the parties, and published them so others can send them on too.

With the manifestos set to be released within the next 4 weeks, there is severely limited time for people we support to review and decide who to vote for. It is critical that information is made as inclusive and accessible as possible, as soon as possible, for people with learning disabilities and autistic people.

We do not want to see history repeat itself, where easy read manifestos have been overlooked and published too late for some. Despite the tight deadlines imposed by the snap election, we can work together step-by-step to ensure that every voice is heard.
